Position Overview:

The Jr. Design Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed CAD designs, developing tooling solutions, and enhancing manufacturing productivity. This role involves hands-on design work in NX/SolidWorks, tool development, documentation management, and close coordination with production and quality teams to ensure accurate and efficient execution of designs.

Qualifications:

• BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in tooling, sheet metal, or manufacturing design

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges for manufacturing.

• Create detailed 2D/3D CAD models and technical drawings using NX & SolidWorks.

• Study existing manufacturing setups and suggest improvements in tooling, layout, and material flow.

• Participate in cost estimation, value engineering, and productivity improvement initiatives.

• Maintain complete documentation of tool designs, revisions, and specifications.

• Ensure all designs meet safety, productivity, and quality standards.

• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams for seamless tool development.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in NX (Mandatory) and SolidWorks

• Strong understanding of jigs, fixtures, gauges, and press tool design

• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and FMEA

• Ability to manage multiple design projects efficiently

• Good communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills

Special Requirements:

• NX software experience is mandatory

• Experience in tools or sheet metal manufacturing preferred

• Expertise in CAD tools & manufacturing process optimization

• Ability to design cost-effective and scalable tooling solutions
