Position Overview:

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily shop-floor production activities, ensuring timely achievement of production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. The role requires hands-on supervision of electrical assembly and testing operations, effective manpower handling, and close coordination with quality, stores, testing, and purchase teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering

• Technical education aligned with electrical assembly and manufacturing operations

• Practical exposure to shop-floor production environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day production activities on the shop floor and ensure smooth workflow.

• Ensure production targets are achieved within defined timelines and capacity plans.

• Allocate work to technicians, helpers, and operators based on skill and workload.

• Monitor electrical assembly, winding, fitting, and testing processes for accuracy and efficiency.

• Assist in identifying and resolving production, quality, and electrical issues.

• Ensure adherence to defined quality standards, safety norms, and shop-floor discipline.

• Monitor work-in-progress, reduce defects, rework, and material wastage.

• Coordinate with Stores, Quality, Testing, and Purchase teams for material and process alignment.

• Maintain daily production reports covering output, delays, material issues, and manpower status.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of electrical components and transformer manufacturing processes.

• Hands-on experience in CT/PT transformer assembly and basic testing activities.

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical drawings and work instructions.

• Effective shop-floor supervision and manpower handling capabilities.

• Practical problem-solving and basic troubleshooting skills.

• Understanding of safety practices, 5S, and disciplined production systems.

• Clear communication and reporting skills for coordination and escalation.

Special Requirements:

• Electrical background is mandatory.

• Experience in transformer or electrical manufacturing is preferred.

• Ability to manage technicians and helpers independently on the shop floor.

• Willingness to work in a hands-on production environment and meet daily targets.

• Strong coordination skills with internal departments.
