Position Overview:

The Production Head will lead end‑to‑end production operations for transformer and electrical manufacturing. This role is responsible for production planning, manpower and machine optimization, quality compliance, and shop‑floor discipline. The position plays a critical leadership role in ensuring timely delivery, cost control, quality output, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / BE in Electrical Engineering

• 8–15 years of experience in electrical manufacturing operations

• Mandatory exposure to CT/PT transformer production

• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, testing, and compliance standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive end‑to‑end ownership of production planning and execution activities

• Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules

• Ensure timely manufacturing as per customer commitments and dispatch plans

• Optimize utilization of manpower, machines, and materials for efficiency

• Lead electrical production operations for CT/PT transformers and allied products

• Ensure strict adherence to IEC, IS, and internal quality standards

• Implement quality checks, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions

• Manage production teams, supervisors, and shop‑floor discipline

• Collaborate cross‑functionally with QA, Purchase, Stores, Planning, and Dispatch

• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and cost‑reduction initiatives

• Review production reports, rejection trends, downtime, and efficiency metrics

Skills Required:

• Strong expertise in electrical manufacturing and transformer production

• In‑depth knowledge of CT/PT transformers, LV/HV systems, wiring, and testing

• Ability to read, interpret, and guide execution using electrical drawings

• Proven capability in production planning and manpower management

• Strong leadership, decision‑making, and team‑handling skills

• Problem‑solving mindset with focus on quality and productivity

• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and statutory compliance

Special Requirements:

• Mandatory experience in electrical manufacturing industry

• Strong shop‑floor leadership and operational control capability

• Working knowledge of IEC and IS standards

• Good communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work closely with management and cross‑functional teams
