Position Overview:

The QA Manager will lead the complete quality assurance function for plastic injection moulding operations. The role is responsible for implementing and monitoring quality systems, managing customer quality interactions, driving corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO requirements. This position plays a critical role in reducing rejection, improving processes, enabling new product readiness, and strengthening the organization’s quality culture.

Qualifications:

  • BE / B.Tech (Mechanical / Polymer / Production) OR

  • Diploma in Engineering with extensive relevant experience

  • Strong background in automotive plastic injection moulding quality systems

  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 and core tools is essential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end ownership of the Quality Assurance function across moulding operations

  • Implement, monitor, and improve quality systems as per IATF 16949 / ISO standards

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, NPD, and maintenance teams to improve quality KPIs

  • Handle customer quality concerns, audits, complaints, and documentation requirements

  • Ensure process adherence, quality benchmarks, inspection standards, and compliance norms

  • Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities ensuring product conformity

  • Conduct rejection trend analysis, root cause identification, and corrective & preventive actions

  • Manage QA documentation, SOPs, control plans, PPAP, APQP, SPC, and MSA requirements

  • Lead internal audits, supplier audits, and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills Required:

  • Strong expertise in plastic injection moulding quality processes

  • Proven knowledge in IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA

  • Ability to handle customer audits, OEM/Tier‑1 compliance, and quality reporting

  • Proficiency in 7QC tools, 8D, RCA, CAPA, and problem-solving methodologies

  • Effective leadership and communication skills for managing QA teams

  • Strong coordination proficiency across NPD, production, tooling, and vendor teams

Special Requirements:

  • Automotive Plastic Industry experience is mandatory

  • Exposure to OEM / Tier‑1 customer audits

  • Ability to independently manage the QA department and mentor the team
