Position Overview

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely. This role requires close coordination with shopfloor teams, maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and safety. The candidate should possess strong leadership and technical skills to manage workforce performance, optimize production processes, and ensure timely order fulfillment as per customer requirements.

Experience

• 3–4 years of experience in production or fabrication (preferably sheet metal industry)
  

Responsibilities

• Execute daily and weekly production plans as per customer delivery schedules.
  

• Monitor machine utilization, production output, and ensure target achievement.
  

• Supervise shopfloor operators, contract workers, and technical staff.
  

• Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and housekeeping (5S) standards.
  

• Manage raw material, consumables, and finished goods inventory for smooth production flow.
  

• Maintain production documentation, including shift reports and downtime logs.
  

• Identify bottlenecks and implement improvement initiatives.
  

• Train operators and ensure compliance with operational standards.
  

• Support ISO and other regulatory compliance requirements.
  

Skills

• Strong knowledge of steel/sheet metal manufacturing processes.
  

• Understanding of tooling, jigs, and fixtures used in production.
  

• Hands-on supervision of fabrication/press shop operations.
  

• Effective leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  

• Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and production documentation.
  

• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S techniques.
  

Special Parameters

• Proven experience in sheet metal or tool manufacturing industry.
  

• Ability to handle 12-hour production shifts.
  

• Strong communication and team-handling skills.
