Position Overview:
We are looking for a Design Manager – Mechanical to lead the design and development of mechanical components for switchgear/control panels. The role involves mechanical design, CAD drafting, BOM preparation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

• 1–3 years in switchgear, control panel manufacturing, or mechanical design of electrical enclosures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & develop sheet metal enclosures, busbar layouts, and other mechanical parts for MCC, PCC, APFC panels.

• Prepare 2D & 3D CAD drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for production.

• Create, update, and manage BOM (Bill of Materials).

• Ensure compliance with IS/IEC standards and client specifications.

• Collaborate with electrical design and production teams for feasibility.

• Support prototype development and product testing.

• Maintain design documentation and change records.

• Interpret customer specifications and integrate into design.

Skills Required:

• Design Tools: AutoCAD, SolidWorks (or similar CAD software).

• Technical Knowledge: Sheet metal fabrication, switchgear/control panel mechanical design, material selection.

• Documentation: BOM preparation, change records, manufacturing drawings.

• Industry Standards: Familiarity with IS/IEC standards for electrical enclosures.

• Other Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving, understanding of manufacturing processes.

Special Requirements:

• Familiarity with IS/IEC standards for enclosures.

• Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and mechanical parts for switchgear/control panels.
