Position Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Quality Manager – Mechanical to support and manage quality assurance processes across switchgear and control panel manufacturing. The role focuses on in-process and final inspections, documentation, audits, and client quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical Engineering

Experience

• 1–3 years in switchgear/control panel manufacturing or related electrical quality role.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final quality inspections of switchgear/control panels.

• Ensure adherence to IS/IEC standards and customer requirements.

• Maintain inspection records, reports, and test certificates.

• Handle calibration of measuring instruments and testing equipment.

• Implement Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) for identified issues.

• Coordinate with Production and Design teams for quality improvements.

• Support internal and external audits.

• Assist in client inspection and approvals.

Skills Required

• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.

• Ability to prepare and maintain quality-related documents (inspection reports, test certificates, audit checklists).

• Strong understanding of electrical drawings & schematics.

• Hands-on with 7 QC Tools, RCA, Defect Analysis, CAPA.

• Knowledge of switchgear/control panel components and quality testing.

• Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and documentation expertise.

Special Requirements

• Experience in quality reporting (inspection reports, bought-out reports, customer quality documents).

• Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals in panel manufacturing.

• Ability to lead and support audits (ISO, internal, client).
