Position Overview:

The Design Engineer  will support mechanical, electrical, and product design requirements on a contract basis. This role involves preparing precise 2D and 3D design drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation for automation and engineering projects. The position requires strong design fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while coordinating remotely with internal engineering teams.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering

• Formal technical education with strong design and drafting foundation

• Relevant experience in industrial or engineering design environments preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D design drawings as per defined project requirements

• Develop machine, panel, component, or product designs aligned with engineering specifications

• Create GA drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed part drawings for manufacturing

• Implement design changes based on engineering reviews, production feedback, and revisions

• Ensure designs meet manufacturability, safety standards, and quality guidelines

• Support CT/PT transformers and electrical, SPM, and electrical design projects with timely deliverables

• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and related technical documentation

• Coordinate remotely with internal teams to finalize designs and resolve design queries

• Maintain proper design documentation, version control, and design records

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or EPLAN

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and design standards

• Ability to read, interpret, and execute technical specifications and drawings accurately

• High attention to detail with a focus on design accuracy and consistency

• Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and meet project deadlines

• Clear communication skills for effective remote coordination with engineering teams

Special Requirements:

• Experience inCT/PT transformers and electrical, SPM, electrical panels, or industrial equipment preferred

• Deliverables-based work structure with defined timelines

• Payment terms based on project scope, hourly, or monthly agreement

• Comfortable with remote coordination and periodic design reviews
