Position Overview:

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end product quality across incoming materials, in-process manufacturing, and final inspection stages. The role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with electrical standards, supporting audits, reducing rejections, and coordinating with production and design teams to drive consistent quality output in transformer manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or BE in Electrical Engineering

• Formal technical education with exposure to electrical products or transformer manufacturing

• Hands-on experience in quality inspection, testing, and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct incoming inspection of raw materials, components, and electrical parts

• Perform in-process inspections during winding, assembly, fitting, and testing stages

• Execute final inspection of CT/PT transformers prior to dispatch

• Carry out electrical tests including Ratio, Polarity, IR, Magnetization, and Burden tests

• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test records, NCRs, and CAPA documentation

• Ensure strict compliance with IS, IEC, and internal quality standards

• Coordinate with production and design teams to implement corrective and preventive actions

• Support internal audits, customer audits, and third-party inspections

• Drive quality control practices to minimize rejection, rework, and customer complaints

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of electrical testing procedures and instruments

• Experience in CT/PT transformer or electrical product inspection

• Clear understanding of IS and IEC quality standards

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications

• Analytical mindset for defect analysis and root-cause identification

• High attention to detail with a quality-first approach

• Effective documentation, reporting, and coordination skills

Special Requirements:

• Electrical engineering background is mandatory

• Experience in transformer or electrical manufacturing industry preferred

• Familiarity with ISO, IS, and IEC standards

• Ability to coordinate effectively with production teams and suppliers

• Willingness to support audits, inspections, and compliance activities
